Sloj Bistro & Bakery
Слој
Originally hailing from St. Petersburg, Sloj has quickly become a cornerstone of Belgrade's artisanal bakery and brunch scene. The Gospodar Jevremova bistro location perfectly balances a relaxed, aesthetic daytime vibe with sophisticated all-day dining. The interior features lovingly restored vintage furniture and raw, exposed textures, creating an inviting backdrop. Famous for their meticulously layered geometric "kube" (cube) croissants and modern takes on breakfast classics like the airy French omelet with prawns, the space seamlessly transitions into the evening with conceptually modern dishes and an excellent selection of low-intervention Serbian wines.
- → Cube Croissant (Kube) & Pain Suisse
- → French Omelette with Prawns, Tomatoes, and Parmesan
- → Medovik (Traditional Russian Honey Cake)
The legendary pastries, especially their signature geometric croissants, tend to sell out incredibly fast—arrive before noon to get the best selection.
While mostly known for breakfast and brunch, their evening bistro concept is highly underrated. Switch from specialty coffee to a glass of low-intervention local wine after 4:00 PM.
Take note of the interior details: the central wall pattern was actually made using a vintage lace doily found at a local flea market by the founders, Lena and Pasha.
